Telesian Technology Speaking Engagements

Shari Worthington, President of Telesian Technology Inc., is available for public or private speaking engagements on e-Business in Manufacturing, e-Marketing, Guerilla Marketing, and High-Tech Marketing.

Biography

Shari L.S. Worthington is President of Telesian Technology Inc. After a decade in increasingly senior product management roles, Worthington established Telesian in 1987. The firm provides marketing and Web development services to the technology and manufacturing industries, working with such clients as Raytheon Co., Apple Computer, and Dresser Instruments.

A scientist turned engineer turned marketeer, Worthington's specialty is real-time computing in laboratory and manufacturing applications. She holds an MBA in marketing from Babson College, an MA in psychology from Framingham State College, and a BS in biology and psychology from St. Lawrence University.

An entrepreneur at heart, Worthington has been active on the Internet since the mid 1980s. In past lives she founded MacSciTech, an international association of scientists and engineers who use Apple Macintosh computers, and launched "Science & Engineering Network News" (SENN), one of the first publications to track and analyze developments on the Internet. She later sold SENN to Nature Publishing. As a result of these ventures, Worthington has spent thousands of hours analyzing the latest and greatest technologies offered by the Net. This, combined with over 20 years of experience in industrial and technology marketing, has established her as an expert in innovative business practices, both online and off. She is an international speaker on the topics of e-business, guerilla marketing, and e-marketing.

Worthington is co-author of "e-Business in Manufacturing: Putting the Internet to Work in the Industrial Enterprise". She serves on the Board of Directors and is a Past Chair of the WPI Venture Forum (www.wpiventureforum.org) at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, is a Business Counselor at the Center for Women in Enterprise, and lectures at Boston College and Clark University.
