On daily walks with the dog, Frank's always made it a point to pick up the trash he finds along the way. Just last week, however, he went a little further and cleaned up 2 miles in his neighborhood. Why? Chad Pregracke of course.
From the Bottom Up by Chad Pregracke
What started as a one-man show to clean up the portion of the Mississippi River near his home has grown into a $500,000 operation with more than 60 sponsors. His work has been featured on national news and won numerous honors and accolades, but its grassroots, can-do spirit still thrives aboard the 135-foot barge that serves as home base for his organization, a floating environmental classroom, and an inspiration to people of all ages.
