April 14, 2020 – Auburn, MA – MassMEP – The Baker-Polito Administration has announced the COVID-19 PPE Procurement and Donation Program, a new, online portal where individuals and companies can easily donate or sell personal protective equipment (PPE) and volunteer to support the COVID-19 outbreak in Massachusetts. John Killam, President of MassMEP, stated, "Under the leadership of Mike Kennelly, Secretary of Housing and Economic Development, the Emergency Response Team was formed to address shortages of critical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and near term solutions for pivoting manufactures capable of producing PPE product quickly. MassMEP is proud and honored to be serving the Commonwealth and our manufacturers during this difficult time. MassMEP's unique capability to access Massachusetts manufacturers at a personal level positions us to be the connector between industry and the Manufacturing Emergency Response Team."
